The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly 11 weeks pregnant with her third child, a royal insider told Us Weekly.
Kensington Palace announced that Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William were expecting their third child on Monday, though they didn't disclose how far along her pregnancy was at the time. Now that we know the Duchess is approaching the end of her first trimester, that means baby number three will likely arrive in March.
The royal couple reportedly found out they were expecting five weeks ago and intended to keep the news secret for longer, but were forced to make an announcement when Middleton couldn't attend a public event due to acute morning sickness. (She suffers from hyperemesis gravidarum.)
"They've known for a while and didn't particularly want to announce it before the 12-week mark, but due to having to cancel an engagement on Monday, they thought it was best to be honest about the situation," the source told Us. "The same thing happened before. She suffers terribly in these early weeks, but she has a great medical team and a fantastic support system."

Middleton—who is also mother to Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2—hasn't made a public appearance or a statement since her pregnancy was announced two days ago, but her husband and brother-in-law have. Prince William called the baby announcement "very good news" when he spoke at a conference yesterday in Oxford. "There's not much sleep at the moment," he added.
Meanwhile Prince Harry expressed his excitement about becoming an uncle for the third time. He said the news was "fantastic, great!" when approached by reporters on Monday. The royal added that he's "very, very happy" for his brother and sister-in-law.
